Chukar Challenge
What is a Chukar Challenge?
A Chukar Challenge is an upland bird hunting event that tests the participant’s skill in shooting and dog handling along with the dog’s ability to locate birds, remain steady to the flush, and retrieve downed birds. These challenges usually revolve around harvesting chukars but sometimes quail or pheasants are used. A chukar challenge consists of divisions for pointing dogs and divisions for flushing dogs. The event promises excitement and camaraderie for upland bird hunters and upland dog enthusiasts alike.
At its core, a Chukar Challenge blends sportsmanship and a love of dogs, fostering a deep appreciation for upland bird hunting and upland bird dogs.
